Overview of VPHA

The Public Health Association is a voluntary social-professional organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations operating in the field of public health.

The Vietnam Public Health Association (VPHA) is a professional social organization operating in the field of health care, established in 2002 by a decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs. To date, the association has successfully developed a network of members in 12 provinces and cities across the country, with over 6,000 members. We are proud to be a member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and a member of the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA).

The Vietnam Public Health Association aims to become a reputable unit nationally, regionally, and internationally in training, scientific research, and building models of health care and protection for the people.

To protect the people of Vietnam from serious health threats and to strive to ensure access to health care services for the community, especially those living in remote areas or ethnic minorities.

Advocacy based on scientific evidence: Promote and support health policy decisions based on evidence and scientific research. Building public health practice models: Develop and promote effective practice models in the field of public health. Public Health Research and Training Center: Establish and develop a professional research and training center in the field of public health.

Our website is a comprehensive platform where you can access detailed information about the association, such as history, vision, mission, and strategic tasks. Additionally, we will provide an overview of various activities of the association, such as published research, implemented public health models, and ongoing development projects. Furthermore, weekly news on community health issues will be posted to provide reliable information to the public on how individuals can protect their own and their family's health. The Vietnam Public Health Association aims to create a forum where readers can not only discuss any health issues but also ask questions to receive answers. In the long term, the association aims to develop training courses on epidemiology, scientific research, health education, etc., to enhance knowledge, education, practice, and research on community health for anyone in need.

The goal of the Vietnam Public Health Association website is not only to disseminate information to everyone but also to encourage participation and opinions in discussions from the community rather than just receiving one-way information. Each reader is an important part of this academic community, and we believe that diversity of opinions will enrich common knowledge and promote the development of the association. Let's work together to build a dynamic and positive academic environment where curiosity and sharing play crucial roles in achieving significant progress in the field of public health.
